For our weekend visit to the village of Bergün, we had chosen to stay in the affordable Bed and Breakfast Darlux. This lovely location just at the end of the village was the ideal resting place for our weekend away during Winter. With free parking and a freshly made breakfast buffet, we enjoyed our stay in this B&B in Bergün.
If you are looking for a quiet, good located place to sleep in Bergun for you and your loved ones, families or solo – we can recommend Bed and Breakfast Bergün. Read on to see why we recommend it with a few of our photos taken during our stay!
Bed and Breakfast Darlux
Our check-in was very easy, just before 17:00 and was met by Anna who showed us directly to our room. With showing us first where the breakfast room was, then taking fresh towels and putting the lights on in our room nearby – it was the quickest check in we’ve experienced in a long time!
The main reasons we had chosen this B&B Darlux was because of the following:
The B&B Darlux had a good price for two nights in Bergün. Other properties would have costed us much more (300 vs 500 CHF etc), and since we just wanted a place to sleep peacefully, have breakfast and relax at, it was perfect.
Location is key for us when find a place to sleep. We always like to have somewhere nice and unique, but also somewhere not far from the center of the village or activities we have planned.
Since we arrived by car, this was easy since we drove right up to the entrance and parking area outside. The B&B was one of the furthest from the train station, but this was only a 14 minute walk through the high street area of the village. So for those with public transport it is not that far by foot.
They do not have a spa or sauna, but their rooms are very spacious and open. For a two persons room, we had a large room with two single beds put together, a table area, a tv and a private bathroom with shower. We also had a balcony area with another table, which we didn’t use as it was too cold. But was nice to have for the stunning winter wonderland views.
We had chosen this B&B also based on being able to park for free right outside. This was needed as we were driving from our home in Ticino and did not want to park our car in any of the local paid parking areas. Especially if we could park it for free included in our 2 nights at a local property.
We also wanted a place to include breakfast. Usually we like doing our own breakfasts, trying a local bakery, cafe or having some basic items with us to start the day. Having a fresh breakfast to start an energetic day of sledging was just what we needed.
The breakfast options were great, with a choice of bread, croissants, yoghurt, jams, fruits, cheeses and meats. The host had also provided coffee, teas and fresh juices. The setting was lovely, in a little dining room area with wooden tables and chairs. The host had it still decorated with Christmas winter decorations during our January visit.

To summarize, we would 100% stay at Bed and Breakfast Darlux again if we are in the area in the future. Anna was a wonderful host, speaking Italian, English and German. The room was peaceful, the location was perfect and the breakfast was yummy!
